Ok. Here are the basics. A golf club has three parts – head, shaft and grip. A series of golf clubs consists of three woods (driver, # 3 and # 5 Fairway Woods), eight irons (# 3, # 4, # 5, # 6, # 7, # 8, # 9, PW) and a putter — twelve clubs in all. Under the rules of golf, and all must respect the rules, you can carry fourteen clubs in your bag, so many golfers add a specialty or other iron wood.

Drivers and Fairway Woods
